This article is devoted to the activities of the Faculty of history of the National University of Uzbekistan, which was instrumental in raising historical and historical specialists in Uzbekistan, from its foundation to the first еars of independence, and in addition to the increasing scientific potential of this educational institution in these еars, it is worth noting some of the shortcomings that have been.
