The article examines in detail the contribution of the great medieval Eastern scholar Imam Zamakhshari to the development of Arabic linguistics through his fundamental work "Al-Mufassal." The structure of the work, the theoretical and practical aspects of the grammatical approach, the attempt to synthesize the Basri and Kufi schools, as well as the influence of the book on subsequent grammatical studies, are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the significance of this work in the systematization of Arabic syntactic and morphological thought and its relevance in modern linguistics.
