This article analyzes the legal regulation of the process of registering non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) from a theoretical and practical perspective. In particular, it covers the constitutional and legal framework of NGOs, their organizational and legal forms, stages of registration, and relations with state bodies. Based on practical experience, problems encountered in the registration of NGOs and ways to overcome them are considered. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of the current procedure in Uzbekistan are analyzed in comparison with the experience of foreign countries, and proposals and recommendations are developed to improve legal mechanisms.
