This article analyzes the process of establishing military courts in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the adoption of the first regulatory documents. The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 28, 1992, recognized military courts, created to replace military tribunals, as part of the general judicial system. The article highlights the legal status of military courts, their place within the judicial system, and the regulatory documents that served as the legal basis for their development. It also examines the powers of military courts, oversight of their activities, and issues related to their material and technical support.
