CULTURAL FUNCTIONS OF LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article illuminates the social essence and cultural functions of language based on socio-philosophical analysis. Language is interpreted as the basis of the existence of society, a means of forming social consciousness and thinking. Also, language is studied as an integral carrier of culture, values, national heritage, and social memory. In the era of globalization and digital technologies, the new communicative possibilities of language and its significance in intergroup interaction are also analyzed. In national and global processes, the unifying, ensuring continuity, and forming of new social values functions of language are shown.
