This article examines the theoretical and practical foundations for improving educational and preventive work with prisoners in correctional institutions. The study focuses on the pedagogical, psychological, and social mechanisms that ensure the effective resocialization of inmates and the prevention of recidivism. The research emphasizes the humanistic approach to correction, the development of individual rehabilitation programs, and the implementation of psychocorrectional and sociocultural activities aimed at fostering social responsibility, legal awareness, and moral transformation among prisoners. Practical recommendations for enhancing the efficiency of educational-preventive programs are proposed.
