The article provides a detailed analysis of the concept of a disability indicator and issues related to its classification. Although the notion of a person with a disability is generally recognized, the specific indicators of disability differ. For example, individuals with visual impairments, individuals with hearing impairments, persons with physical disabilities, and others. These conditions are identified as disability indicators. In this sense, a disability indicator reflects a particular health-related problem of a person with a disability. The article also presents a scholarly-theoretical and comparative analysis of academic approaches to disability indicators. The author proposes original definitions regarding the concept of disability and its classification.
