This article examines materials on the evacuation of the population, including children, and the establishment of orphanages and their activities during World War II. World War II, which left a profound mark on human history, continues to be the subject of study and analysis. One aspect of this period is the evacuation of children from the western regions of the USSR to Uzbekistan. This large-scale operation saved thousands of lives, demonstrating the solidarity and humanism of peoples. With the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War in 1941, the western regions of the USSR found themselves at the epicenter of hostilities. The evacuation of the population became a necessary measure to ensure the safety of the civilian population. Children who lost their parents or were separated from them in the chaos of war were especially vulnerable.
