THE IMPACT OF MEDIA AND SOCIAL NETWORKS ON THE FORMATION OF YOUTH WORLDVIEW

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of media and social networks on shaping youth worldview in the era of globalization and digitalization. It examines theoretical perspectives from Eastern and Western scholars, cognitive and psychological mechanisms of media influence, and the transformative role of visual imagery, digital narratives, and social media algorithms. The study analyzes both positive and negative effects of media on youth identity, moral values, cultural orientation, and social behavior. Special attention is given to issues of misinformation, digital dependence, value erosion, and the challenges facing national identity in the global information space. The article concludes with scientifically grounded recommendations aimed at strengthening youth worldview and critical thinking in the contemporary media environment.
