METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF HUMAN PERFECTION AND THE DISCIPLINE OF THE SELF IN SUFI PHILOSOPHY

This article analyzes the problem of human perfection in Sufi philosophy through the dialectical unity of Sharia, Tariqa, Ma‘rifa, and Haqiqa. Based on the teachings of Central Asian Sufi traditions such as Yassawiyya, Khojagan, and Kubrawiyya, the study highlights the integral role of self-discipline (nafs education) in achieving spiritual and moral maturity. Drawing on the ideas of Ahmad Yassawi, Yusuf Hamadani, Abdulkhaliq Ghijduwani, and Mustamli Bukhari, the article examines anthropological, ontological, and epistemological aspects of Sufism. It also reveals the harmony between Sufi philosophy and Islamic doctrine, emphasizing the synthesis of rational approaches and mystical-intuitive knowledge within Sufi thought.
