THE ROLE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF EDUCATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN CAPITAL

This article analyzes the development of the education system and the processes of human capital formation in Uzbekistan from both historical and contemporary perspectives. Using a comparative approach, the research examines the centralized and ideological characteristics of the education system during the Soviet period, as well as the fundamental shifts in educational policy during the years of independence.
The study provides a scientific analysis of the impact of independence-era educational reforms on human capital growth, the formation of the continuous education system, the expansion of higher education enrollment, and the integration processes between the education system and the labor market. Furthermore, existing challenges in the education sector and their influence on the development of human capital are identified. The findings of the research indicate that advancing the education system in Uzbekistan is a crucial strategic factor for strengthening human capital and ensuring sustainable socio-economic progress.
