A NEW EXAMPLE FROM THE SCIENTIFIC HERITAGE OF THE SCHOLARS OF THE FERGANA SCHOOL OF FIQH

The article discusses the processes of formation of local scholarly schools in various regions of Transoxiana during the Middle Ages, as well as the role and significance of scholars originating from different cities in this development. Particular attention is paid to newly identified figures who were active in the field of Islamic sciences and to information about their works. Special focus is given to the analysis of selected examples of the scholarly heritage of representatives of the Fergana school of fiqh, originating from different parts of the valley, along with their distinctive features. In many cases, important considerations are presented regarding the reasons for the increasing prominence of the Persian language during a period when most works were traditionally written in Arabic.
