AGRICULTURE OF UZBEKISTAN IN THE YEARS FOLLOWING THE SECOND WORLD WAR

In the post–World War II years, the development of agriculture in Uzbekistan and the implementation of government measures in this sphere were carried out with significant difficulties. Although tasks were set to provide agriculture with machinery, activities such as land leveling, canal cleaning, crop topping, and the mechanization of cotton harvesting were conducted at a very low level. At the same time, the irresponsibility of local personnel in performing their duties, as well as their involvement in the misappropriation of state property, aggravated existing problems and further intensified them. The article analyzes the responsibility of local leaders based on primary sources.
