This article provides a scientific and legal analysis of the historical formation of the prosecutor’s office and the stages of its development in independent Uzbekistan. First, the emergence of prosecutorial bodies, the evolution of their functions, and their role in the system of public administration are examined. On this basis, the legal foundations of the prosecutor’s office in the period of independence are revealed, particularly the changes in its powers and responsibilities as defined by the Constitution and relevant laws. Building on this analysis, the article conducts a comparative study of historical and modern prosecutorial systems, summarizing their key differences and development trends.
