This article is devoted to the study of human capital in the modern socio-economic system based on a systematic-integrative methodology. The research traces the historical evolution of human capital theory from classical economic approaches to modern interdisciplinary paradigms. The article provides a systematic analysis of the key components of human capital – educational, health, social, cultural, digital, innovative and perspective capital – and substantiates its multilevel model. The research findings demonstrate that the effectiveness of human capital is closely related not only to individual competencies, but also to the institutional environment, social capital, communicative openness and “perspective capital.” Furthermore, the “dissipation” of human capital – the loss of potential resulting from informal employment, unemployment and social constraints – is examined as a separate research object. The article also analyzes the contributions of the Uzbek scientific school to human capital research and identifies priority directions for human capital development within the national development strategy.
