This article analyzes views on ethical norms and human values in economic relations in the scholarly legacy of Mahdumi Azam, a great thinker who lived and worked in the 16th century and was one of the leading representatives of the Naqshbandi order. The article also describes the similarities between Mahdumi Azam's views and modern economic theory.
