This article examines the role of literary studies in developing the intellectual potential of philology students from a socio-philosophical perspective. It argues that studying literary history, literary theory, literary criticism, comparative literature, and hermeneutics contributes to the development of analytical, critical, and creative thinking in future specialists. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between literary studies and the development of human capital, intellectual culture, and professional competence. It concludes that literary studies are a crucial factor in shaping students' intellectual potential in the context of the digital transformation of higher education.
