THE IMPACT OF USING DESIGN THINKING ELEMENTS IN NATURAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY LESSONS ON STUDENTS’ CREATIVITY

Nargiza Athamboyevna Valiyeva ,

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of design thinking (DT) elements on primary school students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking in science and technology classes. A pre-test and post-test control group design was employed, combining experimental and quasi-experimental methods. The results indicate that integrating DT elements in lessons significantly enhances students’ ability to generate creative solutions, collaborate in teams, and develop scientific reasoning skills. Additionally, the findings confirm that DT helps students respond positively to problem situations and boosts self-confidence. The study reinforces the practical significance of DT as an innovative pedagogical approach in primary education.
