This article explores in detail the socio-psychological dimensions of mental health stigmatization within the educational environment of higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It examines the underlying factors that shape negative perceptions of mental health among students and academic staff, as well as the social and cultural barriers that prevent individuals from seeking professional psychological support. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of universities as spaces where values, attitudes, and behavioral norms are formed and reinforced. The paper substantiates the need for comprehensive and sustainable measures aimed at fostering psychological literacy, strengthening institutional support systems, and promoting a culture of openness and empathy within academic communities.
