DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ MENTAL ARITHMETIC SKILLS IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERDISCIPLINARY INTEGRATION

This article explores the development of mental calculation skills among primary school students through interdisciplinary integration in the learning process. The study highlights the importance of connecting mathematics with other academic subjects to create a more meaningful and comprehensive educational experience. It is emphasized that such an approach enhances students’ cognitive abilities, supports faster reasoning, and improves their ability to perform mathematical operations mentally. The paper also discusses the role of innovative teaching strategies in strengthening students’ numerical competence.
