WOMEN’S HONOR AND RIGHTS IN ISLAMIC SOURCES: HISTORICAL, LEGAL, AND SPIRITUAL ANALYSIS

This scholarly paper examines the position of women in society, their rights, and the respect accorded to them based on the primary sources of Islam, namely the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah. The study comparatively analyzes the status of women in the pre-Islamic period and the social, economic, educational, and legal reforms introduced with the advent of Islam. The role and status of women as mothers, wives, daughters, and full members of society are explored from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh).
