PEDAGOGICAL POSSIBILITIES OF PODCASTS IN TEACHING THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

This article examines the pedagogical potential of podcasts in teaching Russian within contemporary language education. Its aim is to identify the didactic value of podcasts, conditions for their use, and ways of integrating them into instruction. A review of scholarship shows that podcasts support listening comprehension, vocabulary expansion, pronunciation practice, learner motivation, and autonomy. The paper argues for staged work with podcasts through pre-listening, while-listening, and post-listening tasks. It concludes that podcasts are a flexible, authentic, and communicatively oriented resource for teaching Russian in classroom, independent, and blended learning environments.
