FROM THE HISTORY OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDY OF KUVA

Gulnara Komilevna Farmanova ,

Abstract

The article discusses issues related to the history of the archaeological study of Kuva, which has long been the economic and political center of the Fergana oasis. This was due to favorable climatic and geographical conditions - abundance of water, mild climate, proximity of the steppes with their potential market, proximity to caravan routes, etc. All this contributed to the development of crafts, agriculture and trade, and was the impetus for the early urbanization of the area. The author emphasizes the role of archaeologists, their achievements and discoveries in the archaeological research of the Kuva settlement. The directions of archaeological work in the study of the history of Kuva as a result of archaeological research have also been determined.
