In this article, the author scientifically analyzed the fact that in the information age, students' independent education in the higher education system is one of the weakest points in higher education practice and one of the least studied problems of pedagogical theory, especially in relation to modern educational and methodological education. In this article, the author considers the orientation towards active methods of knowledge acquisition, the development of students' creative abilities, the transition from innovative education to individualized education, taking into account the needs and capabilities of the individual. He sheds light on the importance of independent education in labor skills in modern societies.
