
ISLAM IN WESTERN EUROPE AND POLITICAL ATTITUDES TOWARDS IT
Akmaljon Kholdarov ,Abstract
This article examines the spread of Islam in Western Europe and the formation of political perspectives toward it within both historical and contemporary contexts. It focuses on the integration processes of Muslim communities, issues of religious freedom and political Islam, as well as concerns over security and radicalization. The findings demonstrate that Islam has become an essential factor in Europe’s political, social, and cultural life, yet perceptions of it have consistently remained complex and contested.
