TECHNOLOGICAL DETERMINISM AND THE ONTOLOGICAL CRISIS OF THE HUMAN: A PHILOSOPHICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE DIGITAL WORLD

Makhamadikhon Isroilovich Ismoilov ,

Abstract

The article analyzes, from a philosophical perspective, the impact of technological determinism on human existence. As digital technologies deeply penetrate all spheres of life, the ontological state of the human being—namely, the form of their existence, value, and freedom—is undergoing profound transformation. The autonomous development of technological systems turns humans from active subjects of natural and social processes into passive objects that adapt to technical systems. This situation restricts a person’s ability to understand their own essence, maintain spiritual independence, and preserve stable values. The article provides a philosophical explanation of the ontological crisis arising from technological determinism in the digital environment, as well as the disruption of the balance between humans and technology. The research results justify the need to restore ethical responsibility, freedom, and the balance of human existence in a digital society.
