DIGITAL SOCIETY AND LEGAL EQUALITY: NEW TRENDS IN ENSURING SOCIAL JUSTICE IN A DEMOCRATIC STATE

Sanjar Rustamov ,

Abstract

This article examines the evolutionary transformation of the concepts of social justice and legal equality, which constitute the fundamental pillars of a democratic rule-of-law state, in the context of digital transformation. The author analyzes, from a philosophical and legal perspective, the “crisis” of traditional legal norms within digital reality and the process of the emergence of new-generation rights. The study considers issues of algorithmic governance, artificial intelligence ethics, and the “digital divide” within the framework of social justice. The novelty of the article lies in substantiating the concept of “digital equality” as a new criterion of the rule-of-law state and in advancing promising trends for the protection of human dignity in the digital space.
