The research explores Assyria’s radical military reforms, the world’s first state-level intelligence and diplomatic networks, and the specific dynamics of its relations with conquered peoples and neighboring major powers (Neo-Babylonia, Egypt, Urartu, and Media). The study is based on cuneiform inscriptions, royal annals, and international archaeological findings.
