The article examines changes in Uzbek–Saudi relations in 2025–2026, treating them as a shift from summit-level agreements to a partnership sustained by a set of intergovernmental mechanisms. For Uzbekistan, cooperation with Saudi Arabia is a means of diversifying external economic ties; for Riyadh, it forms part of Vision 2030 and of its growing engagement with Central Asia. The study considers the institutional, economic and humanitarian aspects of the process. Realized Saudi investment in Uzbekistan doubled in 2025 to USD 2.8 billion, while bilateral trade remained at USD 178 million. The author concludes that the partnership is driven mainly by investment rather than trade.
