The article is devoted to the analysis of the conveyance of national color in the Arabic translation of Gafur Gulyam's novella "The Mischief-maker", including the problems of reproducing national realities, names, and everyday life. The study evaluates the effectiveness of translation techniques, noting the generally successful transmission of names and nicknames, but also some shortcom-ings. Overall, the translation is considered successful in introducing Uzbek culture to Arab read-ers, although certain aspects require further study.
