LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF NASRIDDIN AFANDI’S STORIES (IN THE EXAMPLE OF ETHICAL-AESTHETIC PROPERTIES OF IRONY)

This article analyzes the ethical and aesthetic properties of irony linguistically using the example of Nasreddin Efendi’s anecdotes. The ironic expressions used in the anecdotes, their semantic and pragmatic properties, as well as their role in expressing moral values in folk oral literature are highlighted. The speech actions of the Efendi character show the formation of social relations in society, critical thinking and aesthetic taste.
