This article provides a literary-philosophical analysis of the mystical (irfanic) essence of the concepts of “world” (dunyo) and “fana” in the works of Alisher Navoi. The study reveals the Sufi interpretation of the image of the world in the poet’s writings and elucidates its symbolic meaning as a manifestation of carnal desires and transient worldly interests. Furthermore, the concept of fana is examined as a process of renouncing the egoistic self, attaining spiritual purification, and ascending toward divine perfection.

The article analyzes the interrelation between the concepts of world and fana in Alisher Navoi’s oeuvre and determines their place within the Sufi-mystical system of thought. The findings demonstrate that Navoi does not advocate a complete rejection of the world; rather, he promotes a proper and conscious attitude toward it, while interpreting the station of fana as a spiritual stage leading an individual to moral and spiritual perfection.
