A COGNITIVE-PRAGMATIC ALGORITHM FOR TRANSLATING DIAGNOSTIC TERMS (BASED ON UZBEK AND RUSSIAN)

Alisher Turaev ,

Abstract

The article proposes an eight-stage cognitive-pragmatic algorithm for translating diagnostic terms between Russian and Uzbek. The model integrates standardized concept verification, structural-semantic decomposition, clinical frame reconstruction, epistemic status, document genre, and addressee. An analysis of 18 terms demonstrates that a professional equivalent and a patient-oriented explanation perform different functions and should not be treated as interchangeable translations. The contribution lies in a stepwise validation procedure that combines conceptual accuracy, discourse appropriateness, and pragmatic accessibility.

Keywords
