This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the complex and contradictory nature of the emerging global ideological landscape under the influence of globalization. It uncovers the dangerous factors underlying the ideological struggles waged by various political, religious, and cultural forces to achieve ideological dominance. In particular, forms of ideology such as aggressive nationalism, religious extremism, cosmopolitanism, “mass culture,” and global chauvinism are assessed as real threats to sustainable development and social stability. The article also extensively explores the concept of ideological polygons, ideological manipulations carried out through information technologies, and ideological trends that negatively affect the consciousness of young people.
