This article examines the traditions and customs of the Uzbek people, their historical formation, and contemporary transformation through the lens of structural-functionalism and interpretive anthropology. The impact of globalization on national value systems, as well as the influence of urbanization and digital technologies on the dynamics of customs, is analyzed comparatively using empirical data and international scholarly theories. The article demonstrates that traditional rituals – including wedding ceremonies, hospitality practices, and communal labor (hashar) – are evolving in form while preserving their internal symbolic meaning and social functions.
