This article examines the role of women intellectuals in the formation of the literary environment of the Uzbek SSR during the 1920s. The study highlights the involvement of women in literary and cultural life during the early years of Soviet rule, focusing on their contributions to the press, poetry, journalism, and educational activities. Drawing on historical sources and periodical publications, the article analyzes the contributions of prominent female intellectuals, including Oydin, Saodat Shamsiyeva, and Muzayyana Alaviya, to the development of the literary process. It also explores how women authors promoted new social ideas concerning education, enlightenment, and the social status of women through their writings and public activities. The findings demonstrate that women intellectuals played a significant role in shaping the literary environment of the 1920s and made an important contribution to the development of new cultural and social thought in Uzbekistan.
