This article examines the TransEurope-Caucasus-Asia (TRACEKA) transcontinental transport corridor, as well as its geopolitical and economic significance for Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the Central Asian countries belonging to the Turkic world. These countries have always played the role of a natural bridge for the main trade routes between Europe and Asia. These routes formed by the Great Silk Road have been diversified and modernized over the years. Despite the fact that most of the trade links between Europe and Asia are still carried out by sea transport, the importance of creating a new transcontinental transport project TRACEKA, which can compete with sea transport in Central Asia, Caspian and Black Sea regions, is being discussed. Thanks to transport and communication projects in the region, Turkish countries accelerate the processes of economic and political integration.
