Mukhlisa Abdullaeva ,

Abstract

This article examines a new form of close interaction between society and diplomatic institutions, which has led to the fact that modern diplomacy has become, on the one hand, overly public, and on the other, restrained. This article briefly describes the history of digital diplomacy and shows the mechanisms of influence on foreign audiences. Moreover, the influence of the Internet is described to have increased significantly, providing more opportunities to manipulate public opinion and control large numbers of people, including for political purposes.
