The article examines the evolution and prospects of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the context of its expansion. Analyzes the history of the development of the SCO, noting the three stages of the formation of the organization and key events along this path. The article also examines the attractiveness of the SCO in the context of global challenges and opportunities. The reasons and factors that contributed to the expansion of the organization are discussed, including the political context, economic benefits and strategic interests of member countries. It is emphasized that despite the challenges associated with expansion, the SCO continues to play an important role on the world stage, helping to strengthen confidence and security in the region and helping to resolve global problems.
