Economic cooperation is important for the sustainable development of the Central Asian region. During the period of their independence, the Central Asian republics made significant progress in many areas, in particular, in strengthening their sovereignty, institutionalizing state structures, and increasing the level of integration with the world. Türkiye was the first country to recognize Central Asian countries. Given Türkiye’s common historical, linguistic and cultural ties, Türkiye has sought to strengthen cooperation with the region on a wide range of issues. This article examines Türkiye’s political, economic and security cooperation with Central Asian countries. It is noted that Türkiye’s cooperation with Central Asia is mutually beneficial and contributes to the stability and prosperity of both regions.
