Shakhrukh Sh. Mardonov ,Abstract
The countries of Central Asia are the focus of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Currently, developed countries of the world such as Germany, France and England are implementing Projects 5+ with the countries of Central Asia. Economists predict that the Central Asian region could become one of the poles of major economic growth by 2050. An important role is played by the processes of urbanization in the Central Asian countries, as an important factor in the economic and social development of the region. In the article we tried to conduct a comparative analysis of the urbanization process of the Chinese city of Xinjiang and cities located in Central Asia. The main reason for taking Xinjiang Province and Central Asian cities as examples is their territorial border.
