LINGUO-CULTURAL INTERPRETATION OF THE CONCEPT OF "EDUCATION" IN UZBEK AND ENGLISH
Shokhrukh Nuralov ,Abstract
In linguistics, figurative units, that is, stylistic figures (metaphor, metonymy, personification, simile, etc.), are recognized as powerful tools that demonstrate the logical and aesthetic power of language. In artistic and literary speech, these units not only expand the expressive capabilities of the language, but also reflect the worldview, national and cultural values, as well as the historical and psychological state of the people. The study of figurative units in English and Uzbek allows us to understand the structural features of the language more deeply, to determine their semantic and pragmatic functions, as well as to study the differences between different cultures. This article analyzes the semantic composition, lexicographic interpretation and role of figurative units in the English and Uzbek languages in the cultural context. In addition, the problems that arise in the translation process of figurative units and the specific features of lexicographic research are also considered.
