This article provides information about the concept of integration, which is widely used in linguistics today, and the concepts of integrative methods, which are relevant in linguocognitive research. Theoretical views related to the phenomenon in Uzbek and Russian linguistics and their analysis are presented. It is explained that the concept of integrative method in linguocognitive research reflects the flexibility of the concept, the diffusion of methods is due to the nature of the language units selected for study, and the composition of the method consists of general philosophical and special methods. As an example, a one-sided analysis of the word fox, which refers to human character in a figurative sense, is given.
