This article discusses the concept of genderology, the meaning in the modern linguistic paradigm. Issues related to the development of a methodology for the linguistic study of gender, explanations of the many concepts of the concept of "gender", studies related to the current state of gender relations are covered.It should  be noted that today there are few actual gender studies that study both sexes, or rather, the process of social construction of differences between the sexes, the gender specificity of speech, the representation of male and female language. The insertion of a gender parameter in linguistic research will definitely expand the understanding of language as a means of constructing the social world. Gender stereotypes have planes of existence, such as defining a sociological essence, which is associated with the general problem of a person's belonging to a certain gender, as well as a cognitive phenomenon, associated with mental representations and stereotyping mechanisms. Linguistics has the necessary set of methods and techniques that allow the study of the manifestation of gender in language and speech, marking the combined efforts and the formation of a new direction in linguistic science, like genderology.
