THE ARTISTIC IMAGERY IN PAUSTOVSKIY’S SHORT STORIES

This article explores the artistic imagery in the short stories of Konstantin Georgievich Paustovsky. It examines the role of lyricism, symbolic details, and landscape descriptions in shaping the poetic structure of narrative. In Paustovsky’s prose, imagery transcends the limits of realistic detail, functioning as an aesthetic phenomenon that conveys inner emotions, philosophical reflections, and moral attitudes of the characters. Using comparative literary approaches, the study highlights the typological connections of Paustovsky’s imagery with Eastern lyricism and Western modernist prose.
