A REVIEW OF RESEARCH ON KAZUO ISHIGURO’S WORK
E.B. Isomiddinov ,Abstract
This research explores the works of Kazuo Ishiguro from a linguopoetic perspective. While existing scholarship has mainly examined themes of memory, identity, silence, and humanity in Ishiguro’s fiction through thematic and psychological approaches, the linguistic foundations of these phenomena have not been sufficiently addressed. The study analyzes the lexical, syntactic, and discourse-level representations of memory and silence in Ishiguro’s novels, revealing their aesthetic and artistic functions. This approach contributes to a deeper understanding of Ishiguro’s artistic language architecture and broadens the interpretive scope of poetic possibilities in contemporary English prose.
Keywords
Kazuo Ishiguro, linguopoetics, memory, silence, identity, trauma, artistic language, discourse analysis, style, modernism.
