In modern linguistics, the processes of enrichment of linguistic vocabulary and word formation are explained not only from a phonetic, morphological or etymological point of view, but also on the basis of cognitive and sociolinguistic paradigms. This suggests that a language is not only a means of communication, but also an expression of human thought, culture and social environment. The development of vocabulary stock of language is a systematic process that embodies the dynamics of human thinking (cognition) and the life of society.
