This article analyzes the role of landscape and portrait in the postmodern interpretation of the novel “Qo‘rg‘onlangan oy.” In the work, landscape functions not merely as a descriptive element but as a key poetic device that reflects the protagonist’s psychological depth, spiritual decline, and movement toward tragedy. Murtazo’s moral degradation, the disruption of natural harmony, and the multi-layered polyphonic structure used to depict these processes form the novel’s central aesthetic core. Through the interplay of nature, human destiny, and historical memory, the landscape reinforces the artistic concept and exposes the philosophical foundation of the narrative.
