INDIRECT OXYMORONS IN A POETIC CORPUS

Guloim B. Ayupova , Lecturer Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages Andijan, Uzbekistan

Abstract

An oxymoron, one of the most expressive speech patterns, is the topic of this essay. Oxymoron is common because of its ability to convey a personal viewpoint. Indeed, since ancient times writers and poets have been drawn to this stylistic approach because of its originality. Characters should be described in a way that allows readers to fully grasp both the poet's attitude and the emotions of the characters. In terms of their internal semantic structure, the research examines elements that set poetry oxymora apart from non-poetic oxymora. Many poetry examples from both English and Russian have been used as data.
