CULTURAL UNITS OF GERMAN AND UZBEK PHRASEOLOGICAL EXPRESSIONS AND THE PROBLEMS ARISING IN TRANSLATION

This article analyzes the role of phraseological units (phrasemes) in expressing the culture and historical memory of a nation. Phrasemes are studied as a linguo-cultural tool reflecting the people's worldview, values, mentality, and historical events. The significance of conceptual metaphor in the expression of phraseological units is also analyzed.
